Trip to Utah: family parties, wedding, & thanksgiving!

We went to Utah on the 16th & got back on the 23rd. What a fun, but quick vacation. For those of you who know me, if we are in Utah, we usually stay at least 2 weeks, so the 7 days we were there were jam packed with more than enough things to do! Sorry to all of you who I was not able to get with. We seriously had something going on every day with family. My little brother, Shawn was married the day before Thanksgiving to Jessica Ellingson. She is darling & I am so excited to have her as the newest member of the Webb clan! Several of my dad's siblings were in town for the wedding & for Thanksgiving. We were able to have my grandma & pa Webb sealed after Shawn & Jessica were sealed. It was a very neat experience! We were able to spend a fun day & evening with Kiley's family. It was good to see family that we haven't seen in quite some time. Thanksgiving was at my parent's house. We were able to sneak away for a few hours & head up to Kiley's sisters church & spend some time with the Mortensen clan once again. It was a great trip & I feel that I am suffering POST VACATION BLUES. I am not sure when we'll be back up there & that leaves me a little sad, but I am SO grateful for the time we were able to spend with everyone & hope that it won't be too terribly long before we are able to visit again. With this being the Thanksgiving season, I feel that I need to share with you all what I am thankful for.
**I am thankful for:
My wonderful husband, who loves me unconditionally! I must admit, there are times I should not be loved, but he sees through those times & still loves me!

My beautiful children! I really am thankful for them & I am not trying to convince myself that I am either! :) They certainly keep me on my toes & can most definitely bring out the worst in me, but I love them with all of my heart & feel so blessed to be called their mother!

My Webb Family & my Mortensen Family. I have wonderful parents, siblings, in laws, etc.! We are blessed to have such wonderful family!

My beautiful home! I must say I really do love my house. It is hard to keep up with, but it is so fun & it is my haven when I need to hide away!

My great friends! I have been blessed with some really wonderful friendships, some that I know we shared before this life & will continue on with in the next!

And last but not least, I am so thankful for my Savior. I can not find the words to express my gratitude for Him. With Him, all things are possible!

Camping in Texas

So shortly after Halloween, the weekend BEFORE my lovely stay in the hospital, we took the kids camping with some of our good friends. We went to Garner State Park, which was about a good 1 1/2 hours away. We had so much fun! The kids loved hiking & playing in the water. I also managed to get stung by a bee on my left hand. I have been stung before in the past & have never had much of a reaction. My hand was HUMUNGO!

A little behind.....

It has been quite a while since I last blogged! I have been so busy these past few weeks, but now I have a few minutes to play catch up! We enjoyed the Halloween Holiday with lost of fun activities! We went to our friends house, the Anderson's, & carved pumpkins & decorated sugar cookies. Of course, the dad's did most of the pumpkin carving.

The boys had tons of fun trick or treating. We had so many trick or treaters at our house that we had to use the candy that we didn't think was so good that the boys had gotten trick or treating. We sure had some interesting people come to the door. There were TONS of teenagers without costumes out trick or treating & I even had 2 adults come all by themselves wanting candy. WEIRD! Texas sure does have some UNIQUE people here.

A fun few days in the hospital......

So, I have been meaning to up date our blog with all our fun pics & stories from Halloween & from a great weekend of camping, but unfortunately.....I have not been able to do much these past few days! Kiley was on call Monday (meaning he went into work at 5 am & would not be home until around 7:30ish Tuesday morning). I went running a few miles in the morning & then met up with my good friend Kate to go on our almost 5 mile walk we do every day. I noticed that my side hurt a little, but didn't think much of it. Well, come early evening, I am not feeling so hot. I thought for sure the flu was coming to pay me a visit. I fell asleep around 10:45 & not even 2 hours later I am running to the bathroom. I didn't get a wink of sleep from then on. I threw up around 30 times & had diareah as well (you all are so glad to know that right!?). I paged Kiley around 3:30am & told him I was on my death bed. I had a piercing pain on my right side & I thought that for sure what ever I had was more than just the flu. Well, Kiley got home several hours later & helped get the kids out the door. I laid around all day hoping I would feel better & finally at 4 I decided I needed to head to the ER. In the military world, we get to experience Socialized Medicine. To some of you that means absolutely nothing, to others, you understand why I mention it. We dropped the kids off at our friends house & off we went. I had to drink Contrast, which is AWFUL, so that I could get a CAT SCAN. To make a long night & story short, they decided it was Appendicitis(sp?) & were ready to rush me up to the OR to be operated on. Of coarse, I was not really prepared for that, but figured oh well, it may help me loose these last 10 lbs! :) Just kidding! Any how, the Staff OR Doc came & talked with us & he just wasn't convinced by the CAT SCAN that is was my appendix. They kept me overnight to monitor me. Well, they decided to keep me for 2 days, 2 LONG days & the out come????? Nothing is wrong with me. My blood work is perfect & I am in great condition. They aren't sure what it all was. I guess I just really needed a break from Mommy & Wifey world! :) I got home this morning & was so excited to see little Livy. I am so glad that she takes formula well & that I didn't have to worry about her. I did send a few bottles home with Kiley after I pumped, just in case we ran out of formula. Any how, I am so grateful for my health & for all the wonderful friends that I have here in Texas who helped our little family out so much these past few days! I feel so blessed & loved!
The picture is scarey, but this is me as of this morning! I sure look happy to be home!
